I'd like to see him get a shot at making the club. Compassion for the game and energy is something the team needs.
I still say some moves are going to be made, and we'll be surprised still on who's in on the opening faceoff, opening night. - PanthersGoal
Ya I am sure he will get a shot sometime during the season. Who knows I don't think anyone expected Bjugstad start with us I thought he would've played at least 25 games in the AHL. |

The people who are going to be traded are guys like Kopecky, Upshall, Fleischman, and some prospects. Grimaldi needs a season or two in the AHL before he's considered for the NHL. |

Bjugstad couldn't play in the AHL due to his NCAA eligibility. I believe that was the case. |

I agree with your first sentence, I think we all do and know who is most likely to go.
I disagree with your second sentence since Tallon is already quoted that if continues to impress, he can make this squad. |

No he could've played he just had a concussion so they couldn't send him down at the start of the season, and when he came back from injury they let know play I think because someone else was injuried(can't remember). |

And play where? He's impressing in development camp. Against kids who are there for the first time. Of course he's going to look good there. He's the "veteran". He is NOT ready for the NHL. This is the mistake we've made in the past. We are deep enough now so that our prospects can, and should, play at least two seasons in the AHL. That's not to say he cannot be called up in case of injury, but if he is here now he's getting 4th line time which is a waste for him. |

I'm almost positive that he was not AHL eligible when he came back from injury because he had played ex amount of games the previous season, taking a year off his ELC. But I really don't pretend to know the rules of this game anymore when it comes to that crap. |

It's the same as Leaf fans trying to overlook Dion's contract.... want to feel better... look at Clarkson's contract... it's less money! - ShayneCorsi
Dion would get 8 million on the open market. Orpik got 5.5 million. |

I almost had a heart attack when I read the leafs were offering Bolland a 5 year deal @ 5 mil per. Im happy Tallon swooped in with that insane offer...why did we have a lockout again? - GardinerExpress
I am VERY happy that they didn't go through with that deal. |

You didn't quote him, you said you were quoting him. Of course he has a CHANCE to make the team. So does Joe Wegwerth. There just simply is no space for him in the NHL right now. Next season there is MUCH more room. He will be in the AHL. Guys like Howden and Trocheck, who also will probably be starting in the AHL, are ahead of him. He needs to play against men first. |

Then again because of the "market" we signed Bolland to a ridiculous deal as well. |

Trochek is definitely ahead of him, not so sure about Howden at this point. |

IF he were on the market this season, AFTER the season he just had, he'd fetch around 6. That being only 1 mil per lower than he currently makes. If he were worth 8, that'd be a damn bargain..wouldn't it? You should be able to move him quite easily! |

Howden came in last season and did nothing but play amazing hockey. He was strong on the boards and scored some goals. I think he is the prospect we trade, though. A trade HAS to be coming. |

Bull freaking poop. Orpik got 5.5 million.
And Dion's season wasn't that bad at all. You can't sum it up by the final 2 weeks. |

I sum Dion Phaneuf up by what he looked like after he secured a big dollar long term contract. He's lazy. |

Hes a panthers fan... I didn't even know they had fans. Or maybe he sums up 50 percent of panther fans. |
