they've done a nice job, all things considered. they weren't gonna go for a full rebuild with the Sedins signed long term. they should be competitive enough to fight for a PO spot assuming Miller gives them solid tending. and they've finally added some decent prospects to the org.

Luongo didn't exactly crap the bed with a .917 last season.

Marginal improvement in net if they get Buffalo Miller... but if they get St. Louis Miller, it's a big downgrade.

That's not evolving the game. That's knee jerk changing the rules every couple of years to fix a perceived problem that's not even really a problem.
