I remember going to a Leafs-Devils game where the Devils refused to play hockey (and won the game). I felt like leaving in the second period - it simply was not entertaining to watch.

The Devils were a "Mickey Mouse" organization (Gretzky's words, not mine) until they started playing the trap, which made them competitive but boring to watch. The trap and the two line pass rule combined to make the game unwatchable. |
