Missed this. The "band practice" thing was more a quip. I meant as in the whole band went to a gig a few hours away, nobody was there to watch besides other bands, and went home empty handed.

If they're going to end games with stupid ideas that make it feel like a scrimmage, I say put one player from each team in each zone.

So Leafs vs. Bruins, OT solves nothing, Bruins put Chara in their defensive zone, Bergeron in their neutral zone and Lucic in their offensive zone. Leafs put Phaneuf in their defensive zone, Bozak in their neutral zone and Kessel in their offensive zone. Nobody is allowed to touch the puck outside of their designated zone or leave their zone unless it's directly to the bench for a line change. If they're going to gimmick it up, go all the way.

Just rid shoot outs cause it's a team game and to end it by means other than "team" doesnt make sense.

Just like penalty kicks in soccer.

3v3 is not bad to get the game over with while still having a team element.

We did a inside the blue line 3v3. I was an expert. hands of a god. shot of hercules. size of a normal human being and smarts like jake gardiner

if soccer can decide the biggest global sporting championship on penalties, hockey can handle some regular season shootouts. and frankly, if the shootouts cost you a playoff spot, you don't deserve to be there anyway.
