I really don't see how you have Hickey as a top 4 guy? This is the problem to me. I'd rather see strait play over Hickey, and even that isn't good enough.
I don't care about "corsi" crap. The Czuczman kid is very impressive as he has size and wheels.

Guys like Weber and Doughty are unattainable as far as I'm concerned. Isn't it amazing that the isles haven't had a legit top 4 since Aucoin, Jonsson, Hamrlik, Niniima? How many years ago was that??? You need 4 guys who can all play PP AND big minutes to be successful

I know on d we are going to be challenged but no doubt it will be great seeing these young guys develop and grow into their new roles.

Hickey's been a great kid with a great attitude that is going to rub off on the younger kids. I think that type of leadership is what they need.

What about every other stat that Hickey was much better then Strait in? Hickey is a 5th or 6th D-man and that's fine. I love guys who ignore the stats and just hate the player because he isn't 6'4 and throws monster checks

I'll start by saying I do consider Hickey a keeper for the bottom pair...but...it's not just being 6'4 and throwing monster checks. Hickey did get outmuscled a lot against bigger teams...to the point where it wasn't out of the question to see him scratched against those teams at times...obviously not once injuries took their toll on the D...but even in the series against Pittsburgh, Hickey, not Strait, was a healthy scratch, and for good reason...he was in trouble quite a bit when he was out there.
