That's why I think Snow will make a small deal to bridge the D-men coming up or maybe sign a vet like a Douglas Murray and let the many of the kids both forwards and d-men play in BP and develop.

If Snow is to make a big deal for a Bogosian(not a fan) type... I rather Snow try and pry Hjalmarsson and not Leddy from the Hawks who as we know have BIG cap 2015-16 problems or maybe Shattenkirk from St.L who might be up against the cap next season as well.

Hjalmarsson likely isn't going anywhere. He's an important cog in that system.

I agree how important he is to the Hawks. But being that they're at a cap hit of 66mill next season for 15 guys and over the cap this season. Many think they need to move big dollars with his age and 4mill hit. might be easier with a great return of prospects and picks then Sharp.

Keith, Seabrook are not going anywhere for sure. UFA next season Oduya and Rozsival and RFA Leddy and Rundblad. They might need to go real cheap with there 4-5-6 dmen. there's just not enough to go around after Kane and Toews 20mill hit next season.


And they need to resign Saad and Kruger as well

Wishful thinking for sure. I'd love him. But I feel like there is at least one team every summer who people see are up against the cap and start throwing out important names to be traded for cap space and 9.5/10 times that never happens and it works out for said team.

I'm sure the Hawks will find a way to get cap compliant by the time they need to.

I actually do agree with you I would be ok if they did nothing else at this point. If they are just mediocre through the first few months then maybe I would trade for a defenseman

I don't take myself as seriously as people like you do.

I've butt heads with the other regulars here, but, real crazy, I still get along with almost all of them because I don't feel the need to be "right." People can read the thread and make up their own determination, I just don't care.
