Has he proven he can start in the NHL??
If San Jose thought Niemi played bad last year, I can't wait to see the rude awakening if they sign Reimer who doesn't have a ounce of confidence. - classic321
Yes actually he has, no one thought he could 4 years ago and he came in proved differently and each year after that including robbing games for the LEAFS in the playoffs, the first goalie to take us there in ten years. He beyond proved what he can do, not sure why they brought Bernier in but either way Reimer is still a good goalie |

You are not sure why they brought Bernier in? Seriously?
Probably because Reimer sucks and is an average at best goaltender.
Reimer was garbage Last year and garbage in the world championships letting in one of the worse goals i have seen in awhile. I am still scratching my head at why people think he is a starter. |

But he was for years and even his numbers are still as good today as some of the best in the league..just here in Toronto with a healthy Bernier he is considered #2, but he is still a starter caliber goalie |

Bernier had some garbage games too, pucks floating from across the rink making their way in the net LOL , Reimer was good in the world championships Scrivens was good too but in that final game Scrivens let a couple in that I think even Reimer would have had. Reimer is STILL a good goalie despite what low hockey IQ people think, amazing how he can do nothing but impress for 4 years including taking the Leafs to the playoffs for the first time in ten years , then a year later he is garbage and worthless? Yeah you sound SUPPPEEERRRRR smart |

Well TORONTO for one if Bernier goes down again which he very well could...or he could at least compete for the job in Winnepeg or San jose, I'm not saying he's the greatest ever, just saying he did nothing but impress LEAF FANS for 4 years if ANY goalie can do that they are established at least. I just hate seeing people BASH him for no reason, he is still good and I just hate after seeing Rask and others go, thinking of Reimer being on another team and shutting us out or something, he is that good especially once he gets confidence in his game. No one expected the Leafs to push Boston to OT Game 7, but they did in large part to Reimer's play. |

Kane to Habs for Plekanec, Tokarski and 2015 1st - soad_live
No. We don't want Plekanec. Please stop offering Plekanec. For the love of Gawd.
We've also got some pretty good young goaltenders in the system, so I'm not sure I'd jump at Tokarski, either. Good goalie, but we need a bona fide starter.
Wait, second thought... maybe Kane AND Pavelec for that MTL package - but swap out Eller for Plekanec... ? |
