That's too much, no way St. Louis wouldve given him 5. KHL players get their money tax-free, so you have to consider that. - TheJerseyDevil1
Not saying St. Louis would have given him that.... I said when he was a UFA (next season) some team would have. |

But. His team only draws 8,000 fans and you're basically playing in the ice follies every night. All the KHL guys who crossed the pond this summer commented that what drew them over was how much more competetive the NHL is. |

I'm assuming if the Sharks are in on Reimer they'd be sending one of their signed Goalies back the other way? Niemi and Stalock? - mlindsay
Stalock is a year older than Reimer and has a measly 27 NHL games under his belt, so not like he is anything special. He had a decent season playing bottom feeders on a stacked team, but hasnt even put up impressive numbers in the AHL. If a trade were to go down, leafs would want something included |

Seems like Stalock is just about ready to take the reigns. If they are going to put themselves through some sort of rebuild they could get really good value for Niemi. Reimer would be a good 1B option to back-up/share time with Stalock.
But it was Ek's rumor so moot point. - eichiefs9
Ya... my thinking exactly... The Leafs would have 0 interest in Niemi I'd imagine. There is also not much of a goalie market outside of Manitoba! |

I really doubt the Leafs get much for Reimer. He had one impressive season (a shortened season at that) and then he was usurped by Bernier. |

Sobotka's KHL contract is 3 years for is $4 million per and he can come back after any season. He still owes the blues a year of service when or if he does ever come back to the NHL. Apparently we offered him 3 years @ over $3 million per. |

Wilson keeps throwing that word around but there is no rebuild happening in San Jose. I wouldn't mind the Reiminister here though |

Evander Kane's attitude isn't that great but he could be a very effective Top 6 forward on a contending team. |
