i hope so, we really had an amzing draft, even tambelini is looking good - webleedblue
Tone it down a notch. Getting Lundqvist in the 7th round in 2000, that was an amazing draft. Lets see if these kids have an inkling of success, or even make it to the NHL before we annoint their draft year "amazing." |

Barry Melrose the "skid row version" of Don Cherry says we're not very good and the Isles and Devils have gotten better while we're worse, if Mike Cammalier and Havlat make up ground on a team that missed the playoffs compared to a finalist then this league sucks, next season can't come soon enough, the one aspect of the offseason I am enjoying is the hypocrisy of Isles and Devils fans on spending money - KreiderBomb
I think people are forgetting that we didn't have Marty St. Louis at all last season. When he came here at the deadline he was adjusting and wasnt very good(he did step up in the playoffs). He's a top player in the league and will make the offense much better. He'll out score cammelleri and havlat combined. He normally produces at a ppg, and we haven't even seen that yet. |

You are right. If he somehow were to make the Rangers, they would have nine games to decide whether to keep him with the big club, or send him back to Juniors. I don't quite think he is ready for a regular role with the Rangers this year, in that he is young and needs to fill out significantly. With that said, you never know I guess. - Pete V
I believe we can send him back down after the 9 games but a full year would be burned off his ELC. He could only be sent back down to juniors in that situation too. |

I would rather he stay in juniors to not burn a year off. then come up next year and really burst out. One year of seasoning should really help this kid out. |

Plus, his club hosts the Memorial Cup this year, so he will be fortunate enough to have that experience, which I think will only benefit him. |

Pretty sure that was what Clark said during the draft that their plan is for him to be there for the memorial cup |

Wow. Dubinsky gets $5.85M scoring less than 20 goals. Certainly didn't do the Rangers any favors with Zucc or Brassard. |

Well the good thing is they are going to arbitration, and that cant be used as a basis for a contract. |

Exactly. Dubi signed an extension and not a new deal. Grabovski's and Kulemin's deals could be used. |

Dan Boyle is gonna make us not miss Stralman that much. Gonna be nice having a legit offensive d man who can log minutes - TPC
Yea I think you guys will be plenty happy with him replacing Stralman.
You guys gotta stop comparing the Heatley and glass signings. i get it, the money to glad was a bit over the top, but these guys are completely different players. I didn't want Heatley anywhere near the isles. Granted 1 million was a low risk move, But he's been more than awful. Sather needs to sign your RFAs before arbitration. He's gonna end up paying more than he can afford, and if he does bridge deals, what's gonna happen if they blow up and have amazing seasons? Then they're gonna command even more. He needs to bite the bullet and sign them to longer terms NOW and keep the cap hits a lil bit lower. These guys got the Team to the cup finals. They're worth signing now.
Edit: dubi had a decent year but my God does anyone else think that contract is wayyyy over the top? |

Apparently scoring less than 20 goals and putting up 50 pts or less will net you close to $6M these days based on Dubi and Callahan. Makes the deals for Toews and Kane look pretty good. At $that price even Gaborik looks like a steal if he can manage to play a decent number of games. |

Yes, totally agree, but Columbus has a good still pretty young all around forward who busts his tail all over the ice & is turning into an even better leader there. Got to pay to play. |

"With all that extra money I got now to spend I think I'm going to treat myself to the most expensive meal I've ever eaten. (Rolls into Taco Bell drivethru) Hello, I would like 6000 chicken Fa-Jitas please?" (pronounced like it's spelled)

To his last one...following one good
Year. I wish him well in any case.
Wish he was a ranger actually. |

Was always a big fan of Dubi myself. I remember after Drury was done, it really was a hard choice thinking who should be the next captain between he and Cally.
Does make me miss having two homegrown natural leaders on the team.
Also will always remember the bouts between he and Richards back when he was on the Flyers. Was great to watch Dubi kick his ass |

Always loved Dubi kicking Mike Richards' a$$.
The contract he just signed is a tad over-the-top in dollars for Dubi. Let's hope CBJ fans want him traded back to NYR next year.
It really does suck losing Dubi and Cally. Kinda reminds me back in 94 when they traded Weight and Amonte. It paid off that year, but fell short this season. Now I totally dread those deals. Don't get me wrong, I like Nash and MSL, but I surely liked Dubi and Cally way more as they were homegrown guys that brought tons of identity to the team.
I wish them both the best; though, wish they were both still here. |
