Isn't that pretty much a true statement? The Rangers, at least on paper, have gotten worse, and the Devils and Islanders have gotten better. That doesn't mean that either team will be better than the Rangers, however. - Pete V
I just don't see it, especially with NJ, we lost depth but not top 6 depth and not any of the young core, all NJ was sign a pair of 33 yr olds to go with a group of aging players, as for the Isles they do have an influx of young talent , we're all aware of it but they didn't address the the defense which has been their weakness, Reinhart will make the team but I don't expect him to make an immediate impact plus Halak is highly over rated, he's on team #4 in since March |

At least he says he wants them to win championships... Honestly, didn't want to see him win in Miami, but hope to see him win in Cleveland. |

I feel like wiggins would have to go the other way. Im really hoping melo resigns and then the knicks can sign love in free agency next summer. |

The Cavs piss me off, i mean what have they been handed like 5 number 1 picks in the last 10 years?
I am mostly just bitter cause I am a Sixers fan and wanted the top pick this year lol |

Everybody always rips on the penguins for being handed superstars with all their high draft picks but maybe it really is a little harder than it looks? Oilers, blue jackets, cavs, trailblazers etc. all sucked after getting multiple top picks |

I was so sure this was all just a look at me for a month ploy and then he'd go back to the Heat that I was caught completely by surprise. My formative sports spectating years were in Cleveland. So I'm happy for the Cavs fans, much as I tend to ignore the NBA. |

Yea they probably should have been 1, and the Sixers 2. The cavs had like a 3% chance of getting the top pick. Such utter horse crapola lol. Still pisses me off haha - TPC
Try .017, or less than 2 percent, haha cross crapola indeed d000d! |

This is what I wrote after the Nash trade, think the latter part may come true:
"Dubi. You all know jimbo and I loved him. Next to Cally, he probably was my favorite player since he was a heart and soul type athlete that left his entire being on the ice. However, his decline in production the past year-and-a-half coupled with his salary and the viceral reaction he got from the fan base, meant that he had to go for his own mental wellbeing and sanity. I look for Dubi to be a leader in CMB for as long as he is there and wouldn't be shocked if he gets an A and is a C down the road if he stays there" - airjan23
Honestly, I think that contract he signed three years ago was his fatal flaw in NY. With the pressure to produce while making that kind of money and being compared to Cally had to be tough. Add the playing in NY squeeze and you have potential failure written all over you. I truly feel like all that lead to his decline in point production.
It's great to see him doing well in Columbus; though, part of me still wishes he were here. |

Any of you think the Dubinsky contract affects the Brassard negotiations at all. While Brassard is a RFA, he would become a UFA next summer if this goes to arbitration and an award is issued. If he has a good year, he might be able to get well north of $5 million per from someone, especially because of the demand that is placed on centers. |

I think people are expecting too much from Duclair right now.Yes he had an incredible season last year before he got hurt but I would like to see how he does in the AHL. I highly doubt he makes the jump from the Q to get a starting spot on the Rangers. Kids only 18-19, plenty of time to earn a spot. I like his attitude and work ethic, but he hasn't played 1 game against pro's yet. From what I understand he also has to add some strength, isn't a problem right now in the Q but could become a big problem in the AHL or NHL. |

You are right. If he somehow were to make the Rangers, they would have nine games to decide whether to keep him with the big club, or send him back to Juniors. I don't quite think he is ready for a regular role with the Rangers this year, in that he is young and needs to fill out significantly. With that said, you never know I guess. |
