nobody has really even brought up Ryan Haggerty as potentially taking a spot too

there was a reason they were were willing to give him a spot on the NHL roster immediately, he is definitely in the mix in training camp

I think he was on the roster because he signed after a certain deadline. He was at the developmental camp last week and from the bloggers and prospect site people in attendance it sounds like only skjei has a chance of making the team and he's not even going pro. Buchnevich was also listed as.someone with a chance if he wasnt committed to the khl. Guys like duclair, haggerty, bodie, etc. dont sound like theyre making it yet.

Hope it works out with Glass, but my grandmother in a jazzy is faster than Boyle, so no real accomplishment there. As far as defensively, I don't think its even a comparison and Boyle is much better.

True but I also dont think glass is meant to be boyles replacement. glass is here to take over dorsetts role, not boyles.

Tough to say now, but definitely want to see what some of these guys bring to training camp first...

TSN's Ryan Rishaug:

Am told Oilers had interest in Ribiero on short deal, as did Rangers. No state tax in Nashville helps.

All about the state tax lately. Wonder if Rangers offered him $1.25 mil if that would have made a difference?

Between the taxes and that escrow that made kovy retire I wonder how much a guy like zuccarello was actually bringing home last year.
