Kane may be hinting at preferring a trade but Cheveldayoff won’t move him without getting a fair deal in return. He won’t want draft picks and prospects, but rather a good player as the centerpiece who can help the Jets reach the playoffs now. There’s talk the Philadelphia Flyers are interested in Kane, but you can bet Cheveldayoff will want someone like Jakub Voracek or Wayne Simmonds as part of the return. We should be happy as (frank) after what we've been through the last 10 years.

2007 we had 2 people with more than 20 goals. Andropov and sundin. Add jason blake and thomas kaberle to our list to see our only 4 players with 50 points.

I like the leafs again.

Hopefully one of our prospects turns out decent.

There are many problem players out there who hurt their team. Kadri isn't one of them, and Kane is nothing like him. Kane thinks he's a superstar and it shows how he carries himself. Kadri hardly has an additude problem, in fact I think he's handled everything well. Kane is a 50pt player.. Just like MacArthur was.. Definitely not worth what they'll be asking.

Kane would be good addition. Depending on price. Try the Reimer/Franson/Leivo deal. Add from there. If the Leafs don't trade for a guy like Kane I take it they will probably put Clarkson back on line 2. Would anyone be willing to get Booth or Heatley cheap? Both definitely past decline but they may be able to add some goals especially on PP.

Yeah, very good debate.

Very tough call. I agree with you based on contracts and accomplishments. I think Toews has the edge against Getzlaf and Perry has it on Kane as I just don't think Kane is worth 10.5 million.

Makes Kessel look like a steal at 8!
