A top-6 forward who averages 20+ goals per year, a top-4 defenseman under 23 years old and another asset? - Todd.Cordell
85 yr old Ryder hardly keeps the convo going though. |

I'll do
B.Schenn
L.Schenn
B.Coburn
2015 1st rounder
For
E.Kane
Z.Bogossian - J35Bacher
I don't know that WPG does Bogo though. Seems like a lateral move for them to take Coburn. |

Yeah on second thought, I'd agree with this. I like Bogosian. I don't like Coburn. If you take out those pieces and work around with it, its more likely. |

Give: Ryder, Scarlett/Hrabarenka/or Helgeson, 2015 1st, and 2015 2nd (conditional: If devils make the post-season)
Get: Kane, 2015 2nd
The way I see it is Winnipeg is in the toughest division in hockey right now, even with investing in a talented D-man they still have way to much ground to pick up. So, give them a lesser Defensive prospect, Winnipeg Tanks while grabbing as many 1st round picks as they can (and I would imagine the Devils 1st would be a good gamble to move on), and Winnipeg goes for Connor McDavid and strong 1st round draft in 2015 to improve. |

what a string of comments.
perhaps Ryder+Brunner+Scarlet/Helgeson/Hrbaranrenranrnka+1st? Like Todd said, our chances are very slim. We have a lot less to offer in comparison to most teams.
no one really wants to lose any of Larsson, Merrill, Gelinas, Severson, Santini. Out of the 5, I'd be more inclined to move Gelinas. The optimism surrounding Severson is just too majestic. Maybe he has a shot like Gelinas but the 2-way game of Niedermayer!

Everyone wants to be a GM. Haven't seen one "trade" that wasn't slanted away from the Jets, regardless of the team someone was trying to play fantasy hockey with.
Ryder and Brunner have no real value. Other teams know that.
The Jets probably start the conversation with Adam Henrique. Adding a Larsson, Gelinas or Merril is probably too much for the Devils. Anything less probably would not be enough for the Jets. Not while there's a market for their player.
More likely he gets moved at the deadline.
That was fun while it lasted. |

If I were the Winnipeg GM I would be trying to move him earlier rather then later. Simply cause earlier would let you possibly get a 1st in the lottery zone (Similar to what Buffalo did with Vanek). If you wait till deadline you'll probably only get a late 1st round pick and definitely not a young play who is NHL ready.
As for Ryder/Brunner, I don't think anyone thinks they have much trade value at all; it is more they are just filler players to make up for the hole in the roster. |

I think the deal works for both sides.
Buff is moving to forward. Coburn and L. Schenn replace the loss of Buff and Bogossian on the back end. Schenn can be the 2nd line center. I think this move helps WPG make the playoffs and gives a 2015 to get a forwrd next drft.
For Flyers they get a possible young dman in bogossian who seems to have not developed fast enough to everyones liking and a winger to play with Giroux. I acutally think it is a fair deal. |

I hate to admit it but I agree....
I thought about Henrique but I can't see the Devils trading him.....Probably be Boucher (our best forward prospect), one of Gelinas/Larsson/Merrill, Brunner(youth/cheap over Ryder) and maybe even a pick (2nd?) or another "B" prospect (Scarlett/Johnson/Black etc) to bring Kane here. I'm not saying I would do this trade but that's probably what Winnipeg wants and would take for them to pull the trigger. |

I also agree with this, and wouldn't want to lose what talent we do have to get some talent we don't. It would be one step forward two steps back. Two steps forward, then one back I can handle, but we are looking decent at the moment in terms of pieces. We would need something more than they would want to give, and they would want more than we could give. Sure in a perfect world we could give them Ryder, Brunner, Salvador and a pick but this world sure as (frank) isn't perfect. |

I think i'd be willing to give up Boucher and Larsson as part of a package for Kane.
As much as i like Boucher i'm not sure if he'll be able to adjust to the Devils style of play. He may benefit by going to a team with a more open offense. And i just think Gelinas and Merrill will wind up being more successful than Larsson at the pro level. |

If I was Winnipeg, I'd trade him for Kreider and Brassard. I think you're all underestimating the fact that Winnipeg wants to trade Kane. At this point, the relationship is toxic. |

I think Bogosian is overrated. The guy is constantly injured and is a number 3 defensemen at best. If Philly wants to trade two number three defensemen for one number three defensemen. I would do that. It would improve our backend, as guys like Pardy and Stuart would get moved down the depth chart. I also have confidence in the Jets scouting department to get a solid 1st rounder. At the end of the day, the jets would get better and we would have more home grown talent on our team! |

A better trade with Philly I think would look like this...
B Schenn
Coburn
Simmonds OR Voracek
2015 1st
for
E Kane
Byfuglien
Both teams need a shakeup, and its well known that the Flyers covet both Kane and Buff... Wpg wants to move Buff to fwd but Buff wants to play D, and Phi would put him back on the blueline where he prefers to play... The salary implications in this deal are almost dollar for dollar, so I think this would be good for both teams. The only sticking point could be Coburn's limited NMC. |
