Do you use this much sarcasm in normal life or just hockeybuzz life?

I use it a lot in all aspects of life...sadly. But it goes into overdrive on here with some of the geniuses on here.

Anyone see any arbitration guys getting a big win and maybe the team walks away? Just a different topic then the normal ones.

Only if we are trading Grossmann.

Brassard and Eller maybe... can't see anybody else getting walked on over an outsized award.

NJ got themselves into the dilemma by keeping two 40 year old goalies on the roster for a couple years, and not really planning for the future. Then, they traded for Schneider and used him in conjunction with Brodeur... and more than likely, since the UFA landscape wasn't very good for potentially solid, young, #1 goalies they were forced to fork out #1 goalie to an unproven "backup" at this point yet.

Might work out for them... very well could actually... but it could also burn them bad if he doesn't work out. They'll be stuck with no goalie, and a bad contract if he doesn't.

That's why I'm a fan of the Mason deal. It's enough to reward him for the terrific season he had, but they're not locking into him for big money on long years.

He wasn't exactly a plodder either... problem was mostly balance, tendency to take the wrong lines/angles and willingness to keep his toots moving.

Hartnell was an average skater. Bottom line is that if Lecavalier is healthy, and skating as well as he can, he can play with Giroux skating wise. Whether the wing is his best position, that's another story.

Vinny is well below average, there's no comparison.

I disagree, when Lecavalier is healthy, he is an average skater. Before the injury last year, his skating was fine. And certainly well enough to play with Giroux. His skating was clearly affected by his injury. And I know that some of the Lecavalier detractors want to completely ignore the injury, but it clearly affected it. And when a player isn't a great skater to start with, that's a big deal.
