Kane is a scapegoat for the media. Can't wait to see the Winnipeg media act surprised after he is dealt and the team is toiling at the bottom of the conference.

As opposed to toiling at the bottom of the conference with him on the roster?

No it wont. I think the Jets need to trade Kane at this point. The Bruins had no reason to.

I'd take a chance on him in Montreal. I feel like the staff in place right now could get his attitude problems in check (which I don't think are that bad to begin with).

I'd be ok with Pleks, Beaulieu and a 2nd or something along those lines. Kind of a shot in the dark on Eller if you move Pleks, but hey.... sometimes you need to gamble.

- ehabs9

Are you friggin serious? Pleks isn't that good. And a second rounder? More like a first.

Going to cost you at least one of your best prospects a first and a good young player.

Best prospect and a first plus another good young player? Wow, over valuing a bit are we?

I do agree with the first and a "good" not best prospect and a roster player.
I wouldn't give Pleks. He's a PK specialist, great veteran, and still gets 20goals a year with poop wingers. I'd give Eller as the Good young player.

Eller(2C), Beaulieu(potential 3,4 D) and a 1st would be enough.
Whether that works for both teams is the question.

Beaulieu is a potential #2 D beside Subban.

The 2014-15 season will go a long way to deciding once and for all who the #1 overall pick will be for the 2015 NHL Draft.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but what else other than the 2014-15 season will decide it?

Why exactly is Pleks not that good? I was never suggesting he's a 1st line centre, no one is going to give one up for Kane. But he's one of the better 2nd line centres out there. It's fine by me though, I'm perfectly happy keeping him given that he has to assume the 1st line role in Montreal where we don't have one.

If they want a 1st then the prospect gets bumped down. They aren't going to get the sun and moon for him with his attitude and GM's knowing they've got to move him.

e kane to sabres for this package

Cody hodgson (peg needs centers), Matt hackett or liewen (Peg needs goaltending because pavelec sucks, so best to have options) and st louis first in 2015 for evander kane
