Tis why a certain $5mil+ player is going bye bye and perhaps one making 2.7mil.

Likely Beav. The problem is when a top 6 fwd isn't part of the package coming back the board will blow up.

It's a head scratcher for me too Mo. I see some guys lobbying for 19 and 88 to get the most $$$ they can and they shouldn't take a hometown discount. I would like the hometown discount but if they get their money fine.

Then in the same post the same guys are all over Bowman to "make it happen" and to "get it done" like somehow the Cap doesn't apply to the Hawks; it's just Stan's inability to go out and acquire some more all stars for another Cup run.

He could always trade 3 assets for a 40 point player. That will help.

You wouldn't have to go to RFD to see all the prospects then.

Now that ANA has Kesler maybe they'd part with Getzlaf. He'd be a great 2C in the Indianhead!

No, I don't. However, he might be a good assistant under Q.

Over the next couple seasons we'll see many of the prospects Dent coached in Rockford get a shot in Chicago, starting with Morin this year. If Dent can help ease the transition for some of these young guns it could be a good move.

Exactly correct. There's a scene in Apollo 13 after the explosion where all the engineers are presenting fancy ideas about how to get the boys home. Suddenly there's a guy in the back who points out the limits of the battery power in the craft. Everyone else barks at him that they need more juice, as if he can just beam it up there. Finally, everyone adjusts and realizes they have a real limit. It is easier to bark at Stan than to face the realities of the cap, imo.

A fire ends up being good for the forest. A little revolution is good for the soul. The board blowing up would be good, too.

Kale started slow this year, but it's coming on now.

Green beans, onions, and peas are in full swing, lots of green tomatoes...none ripe yet though. Peppers soon. Glorious.

Bowman didn't even try! He could have had Kesler and the Canucks would have retained most of his salary. But I have it on good word Bowman was sleeping.
