yeah cause franson fits this bill
lets get more specific and stop being assumptive
third time going to arbitration with the leafs, held out twice benched a ton in his first couple years, and now they tried to trade him to their oldest rival
you honestly think this relationship hasnt been fried? - Dozzer
i think that Michael Corleone said it best: it's strictly business. they see him an as asset, and they're going to get maximum value out of that asset. maybe you're right and Franson will ask for a trade. but my point was from the organization's POV. i don't think anything that's happened screams "we just want to get rid of this guy", because that option was available to them. |

do you know what it takes for a player to earn $1 million in local endorsements? - DoubleDown
Quite a lot of work for hockey players. Endorsements are not like those in the NBA or EPL/La Liga/Etc. I think Crosby was listed at $4 mill in endorsements and he's the sports best player. Stamkos makes around $800k in endorsements. I'm guessing Bolland can only muster up $400k in the GTA. He's not even the leafs best player. |

so much hate for great players. Not the most exciting players in the league for sure, but they've proven to be valuable team players, they've needed some help offensively which hasn't been provided for the past few years. |

Just my opinion, but in my mind they've earned the right to retire as Canucks, they're still productive players, as well they're the franchises #1 & #2 all-time leading scorers.
Re-tool on the fly it would seem.
If the Leafs managed their strength on the wing to somehow land a young #1 center they'll be in a good position going forward. - LeftCoaster
Its been 10 years in the making.....
And we have BOZAK!!!!
Yes.
Problem solved.

They are still good hockey players, should be able to hit at least the 70 point mark. It all depends how far the Canucks go with playing the youth. |

they are both good players, excellent regular season players.
IMO they have a drop off when playoffs come. |

yeah and you're talking about guys who work with national brands. local endorsements? you're not looking at all that much unless you're Phil Kessel or Dion Phaneuf. |
