that guy honestly has a diet of paint chips and ointment

LOL Your comments were ridiculous. Whining about the Leafs upsetting someone at his friends wedding?

If it were up to you, we'd be in cap hell with 3rd liners.

Personally, a second rounder would be great for him, having him in the lineup will have Carlyle taking time away from Rielly and Gardiner on the PP, rather they run with a more defensive responsible rookie in Granberg.
- LeafMan

agreed.

unless the leafs can move franson and reimer in a package (id throw in pick/prospect) if the return was good....

id take a 2nd as well.

our future D looks very bright.

You never have too much depth at center.

Look at how team canada was built, for example.

Ummm Carter was 2nd in goals, pts and mins played(forwards) in the reg season and also the playoffs.

Brown is way down the list in terms of value to the kings. Hell, they were going to trade him at one point last year because he was performing so poorly.

their captain?

i'd like proof of that please.

could the have won without him?

yes.. with a similar offensive player in his spot i say yes

could they have won without quick, brown's leadership, or doughty?

not a damned chance.

- Dozzer

that makes zero sense at all.

Brown wasnot nearly as effective this last win,as the last... same for Quick.

Also, how on earth can you say that if they had someone else who is similar to Carter they could have won, but not Quick or Brown.

Mike Kostka!!

Touche! I could be wrong, but I also don't think Scrivens played the season before the lockout either, which puts him in the club as well!

I want to remove the temptation of Carlyle going to Franson on the first PP. Need to have Rielly and Gardiner take the reins.

dont put a small center on the wing
ala kadri
or grabo

funny, grabo played some of last season on the wing for the PP

he and ovi connected a few times.

randy couldnt figure that out, instead it was...oh lets just sign clarkson and bolland and wel buy out grabo

grabo had more points than both of them combined by christmas and he was hurt 75% the rest of the season

your argument has one MASSIVE flaw

you assume that the only things that matter to a hockey team is what happens on the ice.

Silly hyperbole. He centered one of the best lines in hockey. Kessel and JVR missed him when he was injured.

i'm leaving it at this

the leafs do not win a damned thing with this core, coach or GM

they'll scrape into the playoffs and everyone will go ape poop and think its awesome.. but the leafs are, at the very best, a middle of the road team

that's funny. Sure playing with kessel heap his stats. But does he score goals? Yes. Reliable defensively? Yes. He fits well there and I am tired of hearing bozak is no good. The stats show he is a good center. Kadri played with Kessel for sometime this year and how did he do? Not even close to how well bozak played there.
