AHL approves some rule changes today. Overtime becomes seven minutes and teams switch ends.
Seven minutes 4×4, followed by three minutes of 3×3. Shootout to follow. AHL also uses a five man shootout, unlike the NHL (three man). - AGalchenyuk27

• A player on the ice whose helmet comes off during play will be assessed a minor penalty unless he immediately (a) exits the playing surface or (b) puts the helmet back on with the chin strap properly fastened.
