Oh I would hope he does better. 20 points last year. Maybe he will get over 10 goals next year. Or maybe over 20 points! His defence is sub par. 4 million cap hit for 4 years is an awful contract for him. Don't expect him to be anything special because he is not at all. His last contract was an overpayment at 3 million.

Grabo will most likely live up to his contract and I thought that was a good signing.A tad overpaid but a tad overpaid is what you get in free agency.

Donovan or Neilsen. Any of those 3 would be worth a legit top 2. These are the assets Garth has in spades. I dont want to see 1st rounders dealt but for the right player you have to consider all options.

Cap goes up and contracts follow suit. Don't disagree that it is a little bit of an overpayment but, for now, it's the only way the Isles are going to get guys to sign here. Sometimes even offering overpayments hasn't worked. Plus it's not like we're hurting for cap space.

we get the point, but with all the cap space the isles have plus the core locked-up to reasonable contracts, the over-payment of 2 players will not hinder the isles especially when the team is just above the cap floor. Have to keep in mind that they also signed for only 4yrs not 5,6,7 which can look bad. Plus the biggest difference to me is age Kulemin will be 32 when contract ends, still young to move on after.

Me too but if he can bring back a top four d man we have to do it. Besides we have carkner who could play forward too and hes big and very fast for his size.
