There is no question in my mind that if Subban becomes available, that Hextall would look into it, and see if there is a fit there. And if he doesn't do that, he would be delinquent in his responsibilities as GM.

How specifically would Holmgren keep close tabs on the situation?

- MJL

See I wouldn't think he would look into it. Obviously every GM would find out what stratosphere the asking price is in. I group him in with that. While Holmgren would probably look to see what specifically the price would be for the flyers, to try and fill the #1 d hole now. Just my opinion

Hextall has us pointed in a very new direction

As a team that has the needs that the Flyers have, Hextall would be incompetent if he didn't look into it.

It remains to be seen what direction Hextall has the team pointed in. He's been the team GM for a few months.

Is Zherdev taking some time off from beating his wife? If so, maybe we can sign him. Maybe we could have Heatley signed and he can pick Zherdev, Setoguchi, and Cheechoo up on the way over.

I am perfectly fine with keeping Lecavelier for next season. Let's see if he rebounds. I know he was pretty bad at the end of the season but at the beginning he was doing well when no one else was. Let him rest, heal, and bounce back next season for a possible trade at the trade deadline for picks for 2015's draft versus shackle ourselves to a cap hit for the next 4 years. If he doesn't rebound then Hextall can trade him for whatever he can get.
- FlyersGrace

i'm with you. and it's not like moving vinny for cap space, picks, or even a player in return is likely going to make any REAL difference in making this team championship caliber. their fate doesn't hang on this. let's just keep him and hope he can stay healthy, score at the same clip, and cut down on sucking when he's not shooting the puck.

Yes capgeek. Do you have a better resource? I know they don't use the off- season cap but that don't matter. The fact is the cap is 69 mill and the flyers have to be under that by the start of the season. I am well aware of how LTIR works but they can't use that option until game 2 of the regular season. So please tell me these options they have.
- RobFlyers#1

Actually, you must have missed the thread the other day. the Flyers can use LTIR on the last day of the season if they want. It's one of their options.

Since you like to go on cap geek so often why don't you read up on how LTIR works. Flyers can put Pronger on LTIR day before the season starts.

His only 40 point season was assisted by Joe Thornton. Jumbo Joe makes bad players look good. Ask Cheechoo about it.
