Article 16.2: At no point in time can a player receive a contract offer where the salary offered to the player, in millions of dollars, is greater than the IQ of the aforementioned player as determined by standardized testing.

Phew. We're safe on that one

Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Jonathan Bernier has undergone successful sports hernia surgery and will be ready for the start of training camp.

Surgical rehabilitation. Your doctor will develop a rehabilitation plan to help you regain strength and endurance. Most athletes are able to return to sports 6 to 12 weeks after surgery.

Yeah MOST athletes, since WHEN has Toronto had good luck of any kind, and he isn't playing on a team like New jersey where he's facing 20-25 a shots a night. Not saying he's going down for sure but there is a higher risk at least and why would we not at least keep Reimer for another year or two and really see where both Goalies go, both can and have been great, not knocking either, but saying theres no sense bringing in someone like Vokoun or Khabibulin when we may need them to play more than 15-20 games and they are both injury prone already not too mention 10-12 years older than Reimer.

I wouldn't be so sure. He does have some pretty decent numbers for a Dman.

Problem is his numbers regarding the "defense" part of being a defenseman are lousy.

Mike any chance they sign him to a $2.5 X 3 type of deal and roll with him ?

Second question Mike ...

Any good Barfalo hotel recommendations with no windows ?

- .HOHO.

Question 1 - No...one year deal most likely.

Question 2 - I know a great place.....drive to the middle of the Peace Bridge and turn right....the hotel is 100 feet straight down!!!

for 1 Reimer is gone. Soon. for a draft pick. get rid of Phaneuf and his contract for more draft picks. Bring up some Marlies kids to play D. roll with it and the new aquisitions until trade deadline and see where were sitting and if need be rent a star for 6 or 7 million.
Lets keep the Leafs Young and wanting to get big contracts.

I think it will play out more like..

Ashton 750
Holland 950
Gardiner 3
Franson 3.5

Goalie 2.5

- systemtool

Gardiner is gonna get more than Subban got coming off his ELC?
I dont know how franson gets a 75% raise with the season he had.

You would have to think Nonis has no negotiating skills if Holland gets 950. Sheahan just signed for that, and he put up 24 points in 42 games, while holland had 11 in 43.

Peters and Montoya both got 1 mil as UFA, I'd be pretty pissed if Nonis wastes 2.5 on a backup tendy. It would be nice to have some cap space this year if we actually contend for a spot at the deadline. If we coulda had Vanek for a 2nd and a guy like Finn, we might not have collapsed

That sucks. We got ready for a storm, and then cleaned up, while doing some renovations on the house..

Storm was not much of a storm..
