So the Vancouver blogger is saying Markstrom is looking to get out. His numbers aren't great but he hasn't played for any good teams.

Would it be worth it to do a Reimer - Markstrom swap? Reimer is definitely the better goalie but its bad to have him on the team when he mentally has one foot out the door.

Newbie question, can I post a really good jerk chicken recipe here for all you guys or is that frowned upon since it's not really hockey related ?

No, that would be very stupid.

Getting Markstrom would be nice, but he hasn't proved anything so his value is extremely low. Get him and deal Reimer for help somewhere else.

Markstrom wants out because he's now the third goalie in Vancouver. don't think they'd take a more expensive goalie in return.

well, they are getting up against the cap ceiling and there simply isnt any money for a top pairing guy leftover

hate to break it to you guys, thats the D you are likely looking at.

- Dozzer

I have a strong feeling that Franson has played his last game in blue and white.

So Franson out, and maybe something back in. Like a 2nd-3rd pairing, stay at home guy.

for the leafs this usually turns into the player staying at home and not going to the rink.. or at least they should

Aging veteran answer: you need to make a tenuous link to hockey.

Example:

That new kid the Leafs drafted - Nylander - looks pretty skinny. He's going to need to gain a few pounds if he hopes to play in the NHL.

If I were the Leafs, I'd start force-feeding the guy delicious chicken. It's high in protein, so it'll be great for building muscle mass.

They should start him with a good jerk chicken recipe like this one:

I'd aim for getting a guy that can play tough minutes, have Phaneuf with Gardiner and let them have a more offensive responsibility.
