How Coburn is a #2/3 Dman where as Perron Top 6 forward. Coburn's value is greater than Perron's - xShoot4WarAmpsx

No, Eklund. Ward for Marleau is not a possibility.
Try plugging in different players & your chances at a winner may increase a tad... |

I dont know if I would consider them even.... JVR was selected to US Olympic Team as one of the best 25 US Players....ROR is seen as a possible #1 but definitely strong #2 center (but has been playing mostly wing with Duchene) ...I see the edge going to JVR. I think they would be trading one teams need for the other's . Maybe JVR + Franson for ROR + Bigras or Siemens - JustHockeyTalk
jvr although i think he could have made the team by himslef was (in my opinion) only selected to the US team because he already had chemistry with kessel. using this as an argument for a better trade is usless again IMO |

Franson sucks. That trade is basically JVR for ROR + a top defensive prospect. Not going to happen.
JVR + Gardiner + A Pick for ROR + Aittokallio makes more sense |

It was rumored that Florida wanted JVR, and Toronto said no to Florida for their 1st overall. So I would say that I'm not over valuing JVR. I'm pretty sure the Leafs could get a bonified #1 center if JVR was available. Not saying ROR isnt a great player, but I think he's a great #2. Thats why he's playing on a wing for Colorado and not center. |

Learn to read dumbdumb. THEY HAVE TO ICE A FULL TEAM BEFORE THEY CAN SPEND ALL THAT MONEY. Seriously think.... Some people on these boards, especially those laugh fans. They have 17 players under contract. - Jammerz04
I know, I dunno if it is the same for all teams but the fans on Flyers Facebook page are absolute morons. The stupidity that gets said there makes me cry One person suggested we trade Couturier because he doesn't have offensive production like Giroux. A guy who was 19 at the time of this comment was suppose to put up numbers similar to Giroux..... I hate stupid people |

ROR is not Worth 6.5 millions a year or 4 first draft picks!!! O'Reilly will sign his arb contract and then will be traded away. Count on it! The Avalanche can live without this prima donna in their line up. Would love to see Drouin reunited with Mac K. |

ROR would have made the US team if he was American. |

Coburn's more of a 3/4. - Jammerz04
Coburn plays top line minutes shutting down Crosby & Malkin, if that isn't a 2-3 Defensemen, what is? That's why Mac T is interested in him, it's why I would be. A top pair Defensmen at a reasonable cap hit who gets no respect? To call Coburn anything less than a #2 Defensemen is to undervalue him. |

His combined -16 +/- in the last two seasons begs to differ. Just because he plays top line minutes doesn't mean he's a top line d-man. Dennis Wideman plays top line minutes, how many teams would have him in their top d line? Probably not many. |

Why would Marleau agree to go to Carolina? Carolina is not an Eastern Conference front runner, he is better off in San Jose. |

+/- is not a fair indicator. Flyers forwards hardly back checked and often resulted in GA. Look at the Flyers stats last season more than half the team was a minus player, you can't fault a guy for other players not contributing. Flyers were not a good defensive team. Secondly Flyers were an awful team 2 years ago hence the other -10......
Hartnell was +11 and Giroux was +7. Does that mean Hartnell is better Defensively than Giroux? No it doesn't because if it was true Hartnell would be on the PK and not Giroux |

I think you get a better player with ROR than JVR to be honest. If JVR's nationality was Canadian, he definitely wouldn't have made it on the Olympic roster. |

Center? Good luck with that. Bailey can barely play left wing. |

Exactly, Andrew MacDonald played top minutes for the isles but no one would pay him top pairing money... Oh, wait. |

Im sure 29 other Gm's would rather have RoR over JvR in a heartbeat. Tsn did a Mock draft of the 2009 draft as of today and they RoR going 4th overall. He is high thought of through the league right now. |
