He was traded to Buffalo at the draft last year along with a second for Sekera. McBain wasn't even qualified by Buffalo this year. Canes won that trade hands down.

I could see the Leafs and Colorado swinging a trade. Franson and Kadri for ROR? Since I am a little biased lol what do you guys think?

You're over valuing Coburn. They almost traded him for 2 - 2nd round picks last year.

Let's see if I can figuring this out. First, I've already stated the two players are comparable in value, extremely bad reading on your part. Secondly, the same reasons Edmonton would want Coburn, are the same exact reasons the Flyers should keep him more. The Flyers have plenty of 20 goal scorers already, adding another one doesn't make them better by subtracting from their weakness.

As for the bolded part...seriously? That has as much merit as you telling everyone you have the potential to play in the NHL.

Canes won that trade until JT Compher (picked with the 2nd rounder from CAR) arrives on the scene in Buffalo... kid is sick! As a Sabres fan, still very happy with that trade... Sekera in Buffalo didn't look much better than McBain did last year.

I no longer care about moving Vinnie. At this point I want the Flyers to keep him, let him play on the second line and move players on that line who can help him score, rather than just provide similiar skill sets and weaknesses. Schenn & Simmonds are both big bodies and great scorers but someone needs to manage the puck and have some speed.

The biggest problem with the trade...you probably looked at Perron's stats and saw LW and figured he would be awesome with Giroux, right?

Perron still has consistency issues and concern over concussion history. Then add in the fact it would leave a GIANT hole in the Flyers defense. No, throwing some young kid or another veteran in his place would not fix that.

And we were seriously glad they diddn't. And hope they don't this time either. Coburn is probably our best Defender. The only reason I'd trade him is to get a better Defender... not a lot of those in Edmonton... or elsewhere... at least that are up for trade.

I'm all about trading any of the Flyers 6 defensemen. They're all overpaid besides Luke Schenn who still has a good bit of upside. I'm totally fine with dumping Coburn, Grossmann, Streit or MacDonald.

The Leafs have jack to offer for O'Reilly outside of Rielly, which I don't think will happen. So I sincerely doubt this trade rumour.
