If anyone is untouchable on the canes roster Faulk is it. My guess is the reason Cam is being involved in the trade is for the money to work. There are a lot of reasons this wouldn't work Francis already said he was going into the season with both goalies, I can't imagine Cam has great trade value, and like you said why would the sharks want him(except he is a proven playoff performer, 2009/2006). The only way this works is Marleau and a backup goalie for Cam plus prospects picks and maybe a roster player(bottom pairing dman or an over slotted wing). Still don't see it working.

Well said. If that is the case, DWil better ask for the two top prospects and next years 1st. Even then, I'd be pissed. I'd rather the Sharks go after young talent already in the NHL. Prospects and picks are nice, but they are crap shoots at best.

Stalock and Niemi are miles better then Ward. They also don't have a $6.3 million cap hit. Plus Ward is usually injured half the year+. He's nothing more then DiPietro 2.0. Ward has not had a good season since he won the cup; and that was a very long time ago.
