NOOO he wouldnt lol, remember Bernier may go down for a few days, or a few weeks in training camp even, who knows maybe he will miss extended amounts of time, or need to play a lot less to maintain it...we need someone with STARTER potential, and Reimer did that for us for 3 years and with a mediocre team in front he still had us competing for playoff spots and was in the top 10 of the league stats.....my god its amazing what a season can do to someone's image to low hockey IQ fans

I simply said he's done here, as in Toronto. He isn't a starter. Bernier is better. If another team wants to take a shot at him as a starter, go ahead, but his starting days in Toronto are over. He's done here, and should be granted his trade request.

And if that happens, our only hope is a "old" vet goalie, then so be it.

You sound kinda butt hurt lol What is SOOOO bad about keeping Reimer around for another year? Were you complaining about him in 2012 when he took us to the playoffs for the first time in ten years and robbed games for us against Boston? Probably not...but now since Bernier came in and Reimer had SOME bad games he's trash and useless to us? Just done here no more use for him ? Bernier is still healing from surgery EINSTEIN and will more than likely reinjure himself even in Training camp so we better be ready for a 1A/1B tandem again this year , maybe even Bernier will play less then the other goalie, I would rather give Reimer another chance at 24 years old than Brodeur or Khabibulin LOL

YESSSS thank you lol, everyone just jumps on anyone in Leaf land so ridiculous, besides some of those cross rink Vesa toskala looking goals that Bernier let in were so brutal, he's "calm" in net alright, forgets where he is sometimes.

That whole thing is crap... RC wants Giggy. Big gear, go down and have the d clear the rebounds, which is a good tactic, but it's not the be-all end-all, the best goalies often have different styles than the cookie cutter we see all the time. I actually like that Bernier does stand up more, but goalies like Hasek and Thomas had huge success so style points mean jack imo...
