Heatley on the Leafs would be hilarious. Wouldn't mind Bulin ..but there are better options out there in Marty & Vokoun.. |

Not doubting you but why? Know nothing about him. - systemtool
There was a good write up about him, about how his one downfall was his skating. Turns out he had asthma and it was never diagnosed. So he gets the treatment, goes on to win this years Rookie of the Year in the SEL. Drafted in the 7th round.

I think it's all about $ now for Nonis, they are going to ride Bernie hard next year and know they only need a 20 game backup. That's where ZeBulin Wall comes in for cheap.
If this wasn't the plan they would have already signed the best UFA goalie out there,

Ya, career over at 24 years old?.. Thats past his prime.... I'd much rather a 38-42 year old that is WELL past his prime.... The club botched Reimer, it's sad that they now have to settle for some aging relic... As far as aging relics go, if they are going that route I hope it's Brodeur... |

Yeah I don't know what happened really, Reims almost brought us to the playoffs TWICE before he finally did in 2012, robbed games for us against the Bruins. I think Randy seen something in his game he didn't like or something because a couple weeks later Bernier was in the fold and FROM THE GET GO had a wayyyy longer leash than Reimer, Yes Reimer gets pulled when he lets in 3-4 goals, but Bernier didn't, even when he let in cross rink stinkers. Reimer's career isn't over, some goalies don't even reach their Prime until 28-32 years old. But hoping they just work something out with Reimer, is it REALLY a big deal to have a 1A/1B tandem again this year? Bernier will probably be reinjuring himself anyway |

Reimer will be a lot better with a team in front of him that back checks.
hopefully the new bottom 6 will do that
for that matter so will Franson |

Not once did I mention his career is over, please don't put words in my mouth.
I simply said he's done here, as in Toronto. He isn't a starter. Bernier is better. If another team wants to take a shot at him as a starter, go ahead, but his starting days in Toronto are over. He's done here, and should be granted his trade request.
And if that happens, our only hope is a "old" vet goalie, then so be it. |
