It was a bogus source, but a plausible move.
Here's one to chew on:
E. Kane for Lupul, Franson, and Loov.
Cap hit for Kane/Lupul is a wash, Franson would see top 4 on the Jets and give them some offense on the backend, Loov was mentioned as being close and getting a look next year, so a good defenseman prospect included too.

Only so much cap space to go around. At this point in their careers, I would lean towards Komarov. He's younger, the team loves him. Better fit.
