I think they would like another one. Most likely a righty is my guess. You can never have too many quality centers. Rozy will be a swing man 6/7. Most likely one of Leddy or Oduya will be moved. My hope is Leddy. They have a couple of guys who might be knocking on the door.

Unless you agree with Nester about going with 22 skaters - but you still need Eli's (correctly stated, IMO) 800,000 cap room for an injury call up.

No matter how you look at it: still need to lose a net cap hit go about $3MM.

Tallon gave a bad contract back (a defective Olesz) - only cost him (and saved the Hawks) $3.5MM, IIRC.

Leddy and Versteeg to Winnipeg for Trouba and Slater. That saves about $2.4 million in cap space.

hammer's last deal has nada to do with his current and the Hawks got him cheap for the next 4 or 5 years - not even close to a market deal this time - he took a discount plain and simple

Oduya faced the 7th rank QoC last year. Leddy was among the top 5 in sheltered minutes. To think he can play a shutdown role is not realistic. I don't care how good Hammer or Seabrook are. They will be worn down by the end of the season paired with Leddy. Christ, Rozy didn't trust Leddy enough to give him the puck.

So, tell me how they contend with Leddy in a top 4 role?

Nobody knows what leddy will be. I bet he is the one to be traded as I think q has seen enough but I wouldn't be shocked if 27 is dealt. Bowmans biggest trade win is leddy. Can't see him easily letting him go. Guys don't skate like leddy and leddy is very good offensively. Physical tools ar3 there. Needs coaching and needs to want to be what he could be

Leddy is overvalued because he skates well in a straight line. Common mistake that novice fans make.

And all those guys will not be enough to be true contenders with a glaring hole hole in your top 4.

At the NHL level its the mental game that separates guys from the best. Leddy is severely lacking in that aspect. He thinks the game at a pee wee level.
