Yeah I bet that's what happens now. So they dump a guy like rozy for a 7th rounder and keep guys like sharp, oduya, and leddy. Then next summer they just dump guys like sharp that have value now for really cheap because every GM knows we are Really screwed next summer

I can't stand Kap BUT when it comes to his sources, he's actually one of the more reliable guys in town. He's obviously dialed in to the Cubs and as much as I can't stand him, he's always been right when he leaks a rumor and even called BS on the Dempster trade that never happened a few years back when every other reporter said it was a done deal.

Since he's been tied in to the Cubs for a long time, he has relationships with both McD and Blunk. I'm guessing one of those is his source and $10.8 is kind of an odd number so I don't think he just pulled it out of his a$$, I think there's some validity to it.
