Thanks FF! Not sure what I was thinking with that blatant Hawk overpay. |

Has the Frans Nielsen ship sailed? Who's the trade target of the week? - DrunkenMidget
We have no targets this week. This week will be devoted to reliving the glory days of yonder.
OK boys. Who were your top 5 Hawks for you to watch play.
1. B. Hull- one of the 3 most exciting players ever.
2. Denis Savard
3. Eric Nesterenko- loved the way he just swooped around the ice
4. Gramps. Just pure hockey IQ. Guy was a treat to watch because of how he rarely made the wronf play on the ice.
5. Stosh.
Stosh and Savvy for obvious reasons. Small, tough, crafty SOBs
Separated them into two classes.
Since 2000.
1 Kane. Guy has unreal hands and vision.
2. Seabrook Just cause.
3. Toews.
4. Bolland. Loved the rat and his ability to be big in big games.
5. Hjalmarsson. Nuff said. |

I have accepted the face he will be a hawk. I will just take a drink every time he adjust his helmet during a play. - Elbows15

You might never see a 3rd period. - 6628
3rd? I will be lucky to make it to the 1st intermission if the Hawks have a couple of PPs. |

No worries there Nester.
I just emailed my boy this:
http://ccmhockey.com/en/g...helmets/resistance-helmet
Scroll down to the "easy adjustment" feature.
Should take care of that problem for you.
You'll have to find other things to drink about.
I'm sure you will . . .

It's rumoured that the Devils are about to re-sign Cory Schneider for 7 years at $6 million per season.
$6 million seems to be the going rate for a starting goaltender these days. For those that don't like Crawford's deal it seems like his contract (and cap hit) isn't bad after all. - DarthKane
I get your point and it does have merit but I couldn't care less what Schneider's deal does to the Devils cap situation. I care about CC being paid more than what I personally think he's worth and how it affects the 'Hawks cap space. IMO, CC got $1.0-1.3M more than I thought he was worth, based on several existing contracts of quasi-similar goalies, at that time. |

@ChrisKuc: Per @sebastienlajoie, #Blackhawks hire Jimmy Waite as new goaltending coach. He's a former Hawks goalie and is brother of Stephane Waite. |

Getzlaf has always been a popular one here. We could go back to that but I say move forward.

Nice one Mucks. That little guy could fly. Remember how Petit use to say he was just a stride offside. Kenny was 15 feet into the zone. Still liked him. Still remember when he died. |

Agree, CC got 1 million too much and Bickell got 1.5 million too much. Remove that and we would be under the cap right now.

Oh great. Is it too late to getting David Toews back while we're at it? |

Quickest glove hand they ever had. And was not a butterfly goalie. Didn't play much here. Interesting. |

This is barely a hockey question. Let's keep it to mock lineups and farcical trade scenarios so we can read the same thing posted hundreds of different ways. - HawkintheD
I hear Sharpie is being traded for picks and prospects, is that true? |

Talk about a guy who adjusted his helmet. Doug Mohns. He was almost deathly afraid to have anyone see his head without the dead rat sitting on it. |

Was watching some old Cup finals when he was with the Bruins. What? Did he think everyone forgot he was bald?
He was a pretty decent D-man. |
