I don't get it, people on here complain & say Frattin isn't a 2nd Line W , but put Santorelli up there? Not hating him, but why not put someone like Frattin on the 2nd line who already HAS chemistry with Lupul - Kadri ?

I'm still not sold on Holland as a bottom 6 guy.

He strikes me as a guy who is most effective in the top 6, yet isn't good enough to crack the top 6 of an NHL club.

I agree. Watching the Marlies in the playoffs it was apparent he is an excellent AHL top six player.

I'd rather keep both Frattin and Santorelli down in the line up and find an actual top six winger to play with Kadri and Lupul.

I'd love to get Evander Kane out of WPG, I don't care about his attitude, this isn't high school. He's young and cocky, who cares? So is Kadri, Subban, etc.. his attitude can be fixed, it's about the skill.

Kane's got some great skill, and nice size, and isn't afraid to drop the gloves, and lay a nice check, I'd love to have him as my 2nd line winger.

What would it cost though? Think his value dropped? Wonder if Lupul, Franson, Reimer would get it done? or something involving those 3 players.

If you're talking about me, you're wrong lol. I'm the very few waiting it out. If the season started today, I'd be OKAY with the roster. Better than last years. I'm waiting to see how the rest of the off season plays out because it's very early.

Still believe Nonis makes a couple trades to fill our needs on the back end, possibly getting another dman (that can play with Phaneuf), getting rid of Franson, and possibly packaging Lupul (I don't hate him), for a 2nd line wing to replace him, because let's be honest, he's broken down, getting old, making too much $.

But yeah, I'm patient and waiting.

Their chemistry was for half a half season.
Because most of the leafs forwards are3rd/4th liners, I'm sure guys will okay all over the place and out of position, like the 2nd line for a 7pt player last year

Hes exactly what were missing in our top six but I think the price to get him would be way too high. I think something like Franson, Reimer plus our 2015 first round pick might get it done, but I wouldn't be comfortable giving up our first rounder next year

Just want you guys to know you've all talked me back off the ledge. You've actually got me thinking more positively about next season. I was away with the family for UFA day and came back a couple days later and I was like WTF. But reading the comments re. building some internal competition make sense now. Hopefully it translates to a more consistent style on the ice.

I'm not high on Pavelic at all. IMO Reimers the better goalie out of the two. I know some will disagree
