That's great, the Leafs could sign Keith Aulie for 6 million dollars and say they plan on having him as a top pairing defenseman....it does not mean he is or will workout to be a top pairing Dman. We just paid Komarov based off of hope.

If Nonis promoted the kids in the Marlies to play the 3rd and 4th lines instead of signing these new guys, he'd be shooting himself in the foot for when injuries happen and they need to call up from the minors and the next batch of kids aren't ready yet.
We ran into this problem when Bozak, Bolland, and Kadri were out of the line-up at the same time and no one to bring up we had to trade for Holland.

Leafs spend wisely and fill holes with bargains...... Why we wasting $ on scrubs, should be signing big time guys to make us better.
