Santorelli may get a shot.

I think we're looking at 3 scoring lines and 1 hard-nosed checking line. Although I'm not sure who's centering the checking line?

Good question, maybe just forgoing that with lines that will compete hard, I don't know.

Watching Vancouver in the double header quite a bit last year, I noticed Santorelli playing with some higher end talent than he will be playing with in Toronto.

I checked it out and he played the most with Higgins & Kessler (25%), next Higgins and Burrows (11%+), and 3rd with the Sedins (10%+). He seemed to play quite a bit with Brad Richardson outside of the above combinations. Richardson would be similar to who I see Santorelli playing with on the Leafs.
Can Santorelli replace Clarkson on the 2nd line? Or at least help create a better scoring 3rd line depending on his linemates?
As it stands I don't see him scoring at the pace he did in Vancouver - based only on Toronto's defensive needs. Keeping the puck out of the Leafs net is more important at this point.

agreed
i think its more of a 1, 2, 3, 3
or 1, 2 ,4,4 however you number it
both bottom lines will be similar and interchangeable

Figured... I don't know enough about some of the players.. I don't like to pretend I know how good some players are. I swear some people act like they know where a guy should be playing, how many minutes, point production expectations, etc.. Bullpoop all you know is how to pronounce his name.

i don't think we have the depth for a third scoring line without making one of the first two lines much weaker

Ya, probably just let it play out at camp and hope they find some chemistry. Looks like they've left (so far) a couple of fwd spots and maybe 1 D spot for Marlies. Predictions on who grabs those spots?

I think Leivo will be on the third line. This is why I want a roster chart.. So I can see where poop falls right now. Do one up Glucky!

100% agreement on the fresh minds thing. Maybe even someone who has a defensive scheme or some semblance of one.

I think the roster charts were the beginning of the negative slide yesterday.

The debate that seemed to "IGNITE" the negativity was whether anyone was allowed to consider Frattin as a possible 2nd liner.

Can you imagine the horror

I like Granberg for the D spot.

Depending on which spot is available, Holland, Leivo and Carrick are my choices. I heard that they have Broll or Devane on the radar as well.

Ashton is an RFA so not signed yet.
