drop the full blown negativity or i am getting rid of you
i am not nearly as nice as Leafman is.
this is trolling.. all you are doing is spewing negativity about the team.. fan or not.. its not acceptable. - Dozzer
Especially considering we have 5 NHL centres
If franson doesn't resign it is 50% turnover
Carlyle finally has depth to reward performance.
Nobody we signed isn't an NHL player.
(frank)ing ridiculous.... |

This summer they have actually made positive moves for the team. There might be a chance things are changing and I for one am rather impressed to see it. - Yeti1181

They need some fresh minds with the ability to be the buffer between the team and Carlyle - I would imagine there will be an "ex-player" type and an "up and coming" minor league coach named to the squad. 24/7 showed that Randy, while wienerly, is too old school and vague when it comes to his critiques, motivation and game plan. Especially in comaprison to Babcock who is leaps and bounds the better modern day NHL coach. - Deeps27
100% agreement on the fresh minds thing. Maybe even someone who has a defensive scheme or some semblance of one. |

He had much better players available to put on the 4th line over Orr/FML but he insisted on them. That's HIS choice. - peddy-93
I do agree it was a poop 4th line, but he did use alot of guys on it, T Smith, Bodie, Ashton, Mclement, Dmaigo, Orr, Fmac, Smithson, Broll, Devane etc |

I would try trading him before it gets ugly, problem is there doesn't seem to be any trade partners, only Winnipeg and they seem to like that Hutchinson kid. - peddy-93
Isn't the whole reason Reimer is going to arb is to force the Leafs to trade him? |

I have sneaking suspicion Reimer will end up in Dallas... but for what return I don't know... perhaps a D-prospect from their AHL squad or Glennie.
I was disappointed for MacIntyre that the Leafs didn't give him a $1M contract and assume he would be the back-up... I think he deserved that vote of confidence. - BorjeFan4Ever
I know Glennie's looking like a bit of a bust, but I can't see us getting him for Reimer. That would be a fantastic move. |

cap not play a role in that? we didnt even have a full roster some nights because of the cap and contracts - PinkSock
You're telling me playing Orr/FML over D'Amigo/Holland wasn't his choice? We wasted a 2nd round pick on Holland who barely played 10 mins a night WHEN he did play, which was also rare. |

I know posters are saying they are being realistic, criticism is fine about the team but when your sole purpose is to post it 100% of the time, it is not a healthy environment for the site. - LeafMan
exactly
its okay to have a negative opinion, i am not discouraging that, but if your sole purpose is to come here to complain i will consider it trolling and get rid of the poster.
no different than what UG used to do and he is gone for good. |

Player management was something Caryle failed at last season, I believe he was told to make sure he corrects that this season. |

Not sure, I know he wants to get paid more than his Q/O. But I'm sure he's at least hoping he gets traded. |

That's true also, but some players don't mind that at all. I mean, Kessel isn't the biggest fan of the media here, and he signed for 8 years. It really depends, but if this city was successful with sports, Toronto would be one of the funnest cities to be in. - peddy-93
no doubt
we didn't miss much on this years crop of fa so i don't see what people here are so upset about. |

could you imagine a scenario where RC sees 3 ex-head coaches behind his bench as assistants? He'd be like "how long do I have before the overthrow" |
