no, not at all.. he was an obnoxious ass... just go back and read some of your posts.. and tell me they dont come across as defeative.

people want to feel good about the team, just let them.. you dont have to respond to every positive thing they have to say

- Dozzer

ok that's different. If people want to be optimistic fine. Just seems last year when everyone was defeative it was fine.

Either way, like i said i hope we win the cup like i do every year. But whatever.

Don't know if it has been touched upon but Holland is out of options, it is the Leafs, waiver or trade.
- LeafMan

Same scenario as Colborne I guess. Holland should stay.

Ok, lets put it this way:

Do a complete replay of last season, except in the last 20 games, Bernier's still in net, and playing like he did in the previous 3/4s of the season.

Do you think the Leafs miss the palyoffs? All they had to do was go .500 to get in.

- Feeling Glucky?

Don't you think there's something seriously wrong when a team cannot withstand a ten game absence from its goalie?

So, you don't think the Leafs, who were 3rd in the East would be able to maintain a .500 pace, with their starter in net?

What do you feel was most likely though. Based on how the team played with/without Bernier.
- Feeling Glucky?

It doesn't matter. Fact is he got injured and the team could not overcome an injury to one player.

Thinking injuries is bad luck is loser talk. Injuries are all but guaranteed to happen during the year. You need depth in your organization to overcome them.

- Pecafan Fan

But with Bernier's workload every game it probably felt like he played 647.

I do.

I think there was a lot wrong with the team last season.

But Bernier was a big part of them being in a playoff position for pretty much the whole season. He and the top line helped the team overcome a lot of it's problems and win games.

Leafs weren't a contending team last year, but with Bernier they were certainly a playoff team.
