I don't think any president the Leafs could have would convice Georges to come here, he just didn't want to play in Toronto because of the rivalry.

Yes, I think the next move that the Leafs need to do is move Phaneuf at some point over the next 1-2 years if they can find a taker, even if we have to retain some salary.

He's going to be 30 next year and finding a suitor may be difficult if they wait longer.

That should get them a decent haul of picks and/or prospects.
