This is what Nonis' view on 'culture change' might look like.

Lupul, Franson, Reimer, Holland traded away.
Prospects and 2015 1st round picks, + good D and backup goalie coming other way.

Ashton, I don't like.
Orr and MacLaren have no place on this team.

I would not mind going with this team, at this point of time makes sense to keep options open for 2015.

my personal preference would be to add Phaneuf and Kadri to the group of Lupul, Franson, Reimer, Holland, Ashton.

In this way, focus on a real culture change which enables you to have some faith in the future (2-3yrs from now) and would give the following lineup for start of this season:

leafs average about 22nd place with these guys in charge. the richest organization in the league cant put all its money and resources together to find the best replacements.

Just heard today that one did touch down just north east of huntsville.

Again, the leafs have found bandaid solutions, enough to please leaf nation (not hard to do) but not enough for any real big steps forward.
