I really like this offseason so far, I wouldn't count Gauthier out of cracking the line up frankly, I'd say it's a small chance but I think he is closer than some people think. I know it's a jump and I don't want to rush the kid, but I like that draft pick.

I can't see Gauthier making it with holland, santorelli and kontiola fighting for the 3-4C spot. It's still possible they move kadri to the wing and use holland or santorelli as 2C. Either way, it's unlikely Gauthier makes it this year.

If he does, he will certainly have earned it. But Carrick's the closest for that role from the marlies I think, and he could probably use a bit more time yet.

I like the Santorelli signing. Can play 3/4 or even up to 2nd if injuries occur. Could be another Raymond if he gets chemistry with somebody
