Always dangerous and played two ways ... his sense of humor was good. Just an all-around class guy.

It's funny, I have only ever had 1 hockey card, his. When I adopted my son I didn't even realize he was from Mogilny's home town of Khabarovsk ... cool coincidence

- NightTrain_AlMo

That is a very cool coincidence, and that's very cool that you adopted a child. Also assuming in the process you've created a Russian-born Leafs fan lol

6 million space to get another D if we move Franson, 8 million for a D and a backup goalie if Reimer is out...who should we target? Martin? Oduya? Boychuk?

I really had no clue about Santorelli, it caught my eye when a bunch of Nucks fans chimed in about how he was a good player.

At the very least the Leafs are taking some cheap, short gambles on some of these players. Why the (frank) not, you either hit or you get another pull of the slot machine next year, rather getting jammed up with a Bolland or Kulemin UFA salary. Hopefully the Leafs had some good folds here, letting some mid-career contracts go that aren't worth it in the long run.

- Zezel

Our 3rd line last year of Raymond-Bolland-Kulemin is now making about 13 mil per year and fans are pissed we didnt keep these guys?

look at a team like the pens. they will have some combo of Downie,Goc, Comeau, Spaling (Sutter prob. traded) and it will cost them 3-4 million.

I like the character moves, getting guys who play hard on the bottom 6. Komarov, Bodie, Santorelli could be a pretty solid 3rd or 4th line

Which centre currently under contract is RC going to rely on in the defensive role. I'm pretty sure we still don't have one lol

it occurred to me and a Leaf buddy today while we were reasoning about hockey, PK is totally gonna be the new dion. He's all the poop right now, he's totally gonna get that big contract and be the Habs dion. it's totally going to happen.

Boston is in cap hell. 1.6 million space (5.6 when Savard goes on LTIR)
they need to sign Smith, Krug and Bartkowski. they need to sign/recall another 2-3
players as well.

they are gonna have to move someone

we dont need the plug a bunch of holes like that flames team did. If we trade Dion
a young top 4 D-man has to be part of the package.

But yeah, Nonis is not as dumb as the unwilling tor rebuild Feaster

edit: what is it with nucks/habs fans obssession with trading Dion? I doubt he is going anywhere unless someone offers something sexy. Nonis is not gonna just dump our best D-man for scraps. Also not gonna move him for a 2nd in 2016 (Gorges)

I'll take Boychuck please, for spare parts and garbage, and a pick that doesn't pan out for Boston

also included is a late boston pick going to the leafs that turns into a gem

Dion is 29 pk 25
You have dion for the next 7 at 7
Pk will sign 8 x 8

Hows dion gonna look in years 5 6 7 of his contract when he is 35 36

(frank) Boston. I'd rather no one help them. The model franchise can suck an egg.

If I'm PK I take a 3-4 year deal. Risky but at the end of that deal he can cash in even crazier the way salaries are going.
