not talking about you. We can disagree with mature comments and no which to me is a complete joke.

I know you said he's probably a bust too; but better than a $3-4 million bust in legwand.

In other news, there is a missing pickle up someones ass.

I think if the core wasn't signed to such long deals they would have been moved. however, the core is young enough that a few years of high picks and we'll still have Dion, Phil, JVR, etc. We have some great pieces is my point, but this core will look even worse with the moves this summer.
- clark_griswold

core isnt about skill.. its a mentality

Better defense means Phaneuf should look better.

More heart up front means the top line won't get hung out to dry.

I don't think this team is massively improved over last year skill wise, but I think the players they brought in are better fits for what is needed.

Ok, lets put it this way:

Do a complete replay of last season, except in the last 20 games, Bernier's still in net, and playing like he did in the previous 3/4s of the season.

Do you think the Leafs miss the palyoffs? All they had to do was go .500 to get in.

- Feeling Glucky?

dude just drop the whole bernier injury leafs in playoff crap

thank god he got hurt

we got a good draft pick, we were not going anywhere.

the leafs gave up like 40 shots on avg per game, thats not a good team, sorry.

this guy needs to get laid or at least a lil trip to the rips

- big_dion

But the difference is, we don't insult each other because we disagree. I've had lots of PM's about how a few bring down the mood of the thread all the time, it is just so annoying day in and day out to see here.

- Dozzer

im fine with a lotter pick and hopefully we can let some kids develop along the way.

I don't even know why teams look for snipers and top goalies, when sh% and sv% are just luck.

- Feeling Glucky?

I am of fan of Bernier's talent, but he has a lot to prove as a starting goalie. #1 on the list, prove he can play 60+ nhl games at a high level. He has not proven to be capable of doing this yet.

I can't believe all the love for career ahler Brennan and MacIntyre on here. The same guys female doging about letting them go also complain about the leafs accepting mediocre players. They're below mediocre. Yet we picked up two proven NHL defensemen who both came from very good teams but everyone's panties are in a knot over Brennan!? Brennan ffs!?

A blessing in disguise. I was shocked the Leafs took Nylander but really happy they did.

But just answer the question: If Bernier doesn't get hurt, do the Leafs go .500 for the rest of the season, or do they win only 3 games(or whatever it was)

Really don't understand how he didn't get a shot with the Leafs at some point last season...

He has no defense. We have enough of those.

There's a difference in being a #1 in the NHL and being a #1 on the Leafs.

yeah, if you feel the team is going to tank, say it once and then let it go.

even i, who is not a big fan of the team's core group can see some positives.. all negative all the time is just unhealthy

- Dozzer

jvr, kessel, kadri, rielly

thats who to build the team off of.

were stuck with bozak and realisitcally clarkson w that contract.

i doubt dion is out, so lets just hope that prospects on the back end become what they can be and our D will be great in years to come.

Nobody knows the answer. Fact is he did get injured and the team was unable to overcome the injury.

What makes you think he won't be on the injured list for significant time next year?

Don't know if it has been touched upon but Holland is out of options, it is the Leafs, waiver or trade.
