But in any case, if healthy, why wouldn't you want Pitkanen on the Leafs?

The problem with Crosby's concussion symptoms was that they thought it was a concussion when it was really his neck. Plus, the closeness of the two concussions made the recovery period longer. Toews missed 20+ games with a concussion once and seems like the type of guy that would keep playing if he had one during the playoffs.

It's hard to see anybody avoiding brain damage while playing in the NHL. Most of them have it in one way or another.

This year in a hockey pool my good buddy took Stamkos first overall and I couldn't believe he let me take Crosby. Then Stamkos broke his leg. It's actually funny if you have 1st or 2nd pick in a hotly contested hockey pool, you're like (frank) okay, yeah, who DO I actually take now that I have a top pick and the clock is ticking down. I was pacing the room in my last live draft lol

And there's a 99.9% chance Joffrey "Glass" Lupul gets hurt. It's good we got some depth.

If nothing else Kontiola and Santorelli are two pretty killer names. It's no Bennett, but if those guys did really well in their roles with the Leafs, those are some good names. It's a shame Hanson never worked out, it really is. They came out with the Slapshot glasses on, you were a Leafs fan, you were all stoked. It was gonna be rad when Hanson was the new Tucker and he was a Hanson brother.
