We aren't worse than last year

We are a tad better

The end

- Garnie

you could have an argument if we knew what our 3rd / 4th lines looked like. We don't even have 'players x' in those slots yet. So who we're better, seems like wishful thinking.

I wanna puke knowing those are our centers going into next season
- DougGilmour_93

I wonder if they're looking at moving Kadri or Holland to the wing. I know he struggled a bit on the wing in the AHL, but I think he was a winger for a bit in Jr when he played with Tavares.

That would make our lines
JVR - Bozak - Kessel
Lupul - Holland - Kadri
Komarov - Kontiola - Clarkson
Frattin - ??? - Ashton

They might still be pursuing Legwand, to drop Kontiola to 4th line and have Legwand play third

this very same argument can be used against your overly pessimistic thinking

try and keep that in mind.

Why do some of you guys put "the end" or "end of story"?

It's just gives off the vibe that you are arrogant and ignorant to anyone else opinion.

i know nothing about this guy (no one on here does) and while i think we are crap this year, and this guy will most likely be a bust, i'd still take him cheap over legwand at something like 3-4 years and $4 mil.

weird thing is last year you wanted to tank, i didn't. Know it's somehow reversed. I'm assuming you think we've improved.

would it really hurt to give him a shot in an offensive role, when we signed him as an offensive player?
- Feeling Glucky?

It sure hurts Kadri, and we signed him as an offensive player? the same guy who once got like 46 pts? I thought we got him for grit and compete!!???

no he's most likely a bust in the mold of rikard wallin, etc. As in, plays in the KHL for a reason.

i think it could be said it's margainally better. "much" is a deep stretch. But this site is for opinions.

If you think our D is MUCH better, our forwards must be MUCH worse.

Some guys play there because they get 10 times as much money and it's tax free.

NHL may be the best league in the world, but for 3rd and 4th liners, the KHL pays better.

i guarantee you have never watched this guy play but you've already made up your mind about him

you must be one of those types who only trust when a player does well for another team for so many years.. then comes to toronto in his twilight years and disappoints

sorta like how the leafs have ALWAYS done things? you want more of the same of that?

not me.

seems there's only about 3 of us on here saying we're worse than last year; won't be hard to remember which ones (me included)

Everyone's worried nobody wants to come here. We're clearly the destination of choice for all KHL players.

Does that mean we're getting Kovalchuk?

Ok you win

We suck and we haven't filled out the whole roster

8th pick overall with the team from last year.

I think we make the playoffs as long as Bernier plays equal to or better than last year

Just my gut feeling

I broke my crystal ball so I'm not 100% like you

I like the Kentiola signing, low risk medium reward kinda thing, I'm just worried how Carlyle is going to manage his ice time.
