I’m not particularly fond of the Gunnarson trade. Nor do I like the Robidas signing. He’s just too damn old. However, I have felt for some time that the D needed to be way more balanced, by bringing in some rock solid defensive guys. Don’t give a shyt about offense, just defense, type players. So, I actually do think that this D is nicely balanced, and may actually click quite well. But we better hope those D prospects work out, because the shelf life on Robidas isn’t long, and we need some better D on that roster.

I'd rather have Rielly and Gardiner get Top 4 minutes and keep Percy and Granberg together for one more year as top pair on the Marlies if possible (both only 21 still, and both could make the team next season).

That means getting a new LD for 3rd pair with Polak.
