For the Moore's, hockey is a hobby that payed well. But like Peter Ing, they had a career after hockey all mapped out.

Well I agree that he should be compensated for his injury but asking for 100 million is ludicrous.

The figure includes lost income from his career as an investment lawyer.
- mykokes

So, the bump on his head, prevented him from becoming a lawyer.. How ???

This is crazy. He may get punched again in the court room by the judge..

you could work at timmy's and if someone takes you out with a blind sided buring coffee pot to the head and you get brain damage or something...you are getting a lot more money than what you would have got at your timmys job if you couldnt work it

He also had career insurance like most NHLer so he got money from there as well.
- Yeti1181

No, the brain damage prevented him from continuing his career as a lawyer. He was a lawyer.

For the record, the original offer by the Canucks/Bertuzzi camp to make this go away was 300k.

Having a working brain usually does not help in the lawyer's profession..

True, but getting smacked with a coffee pot is not an expected, and accepted, result of, say , knocking down said employee while they reached for the Timbits

At least I don't think so, but I've never worked at tims

Must be broke. I thought hockey was a risk you took.
- CanadianBodmon

Doug Gilmour now drives a Hyundai Santa Fe. My buddy saw him leaving the LCBO with a bottle of Absolut. Absolut???? That’s ghetto. Apparently he’s getting quite broke…. All those ex-wives. Three now I think?

Granberg is 7D. They are going with a right shot on pairs 2 and 3. We need a lefty again.

Joke about it all you want, and the figure is ridiculous, but the Nucks and Bertuzzi lawyers made this drag out to this point.

And don't kid yourself, the Moore camp knows exactly what its doing with that figure.

If that was the figure that had been offered that to begin with, this would be done. The 300k offer is the insult that made things play out this way.

Well the person that saw that bottle means he didn't use a bag so that's pretty economic friendly.
