I am on the Bergevin bandwagon right now. All I could talk about with family and friends was how the Habs had to cut the dead weight and move on with the youth. I wanted gorges, briere, gio, Pleks, and markov gone (if he wanted 6.5 for 3 yrs). I'm ok with the Markov money and adding Gilbert really does give the Habs some D that can move the puck. Moving gorges allowed them to keep weaver ( ) and add Gilbert, so we get the defensive specialist/shot blocker and we get the large right handed that can pass. Great move. Letting Gionta walk is perfectly fine by me. You want to see a small guy who plays huge then look at the honeybadger wearing number 11. Briere for PA? All day that's a steal for Montreal. Now if we can flip Pleks for a scoring winger, well that would be swell. Lol

I agree. He says "F Toronto, i'd rather play in buffalo". Lol. I bet some Toronto fans are wishing Clarkson and Phanuef said the same thing!

With MB we can see the team has a clear direction. Even his most criticized and risky moves turned out OK. Experiments like Parros and Murray only lasted a year. What I like most about the Habs' management is their dedication to insulating our youth core, unlike his predecessors who let them fly free and wild with little to no direction.
