Maybe he's the one they expect to start in the NHL. Not many 2010 draftees at that camp anyway.
- Jean_Perron

That's probably it.

EDIT: Martin Reway isn't there either

What is the basis of this list?

Overall career projection or where they are now in their development?

Because If it's right now, then Beaulieu should be first since he's likely in the starting lineup in oct. So how does DLR rank ahead.

Also, Dietz and Thrower... Not developing well are they? This one is more of a question since I, personally, was pretty on these picks so just wondering why they are so low.

- kev1586

Potential, likability to make the NHL and how far away from the big club they are my criterias. The last season weighs heavily too on the rankings.

No doubt that Beaulieu should end up an NHLer, but will he become more than a 3rd pairing PMD? The doubts are not there for me in DLR, the kid will play in the NHL too, but he will be a top9 forward. It might come as early as October for him too. I had concerns about his offensive potential but his play this year erased them.

Dietz had an up and down year, and Thrower played the year as a 20 year old in Junior. You don't see that often for a 2nd round pick. After an abysmal year in 2012-2013, Dalton was much better as a captain in Vancouver for the Giants. Still it's expected to see a 2nd round talent dominate a junior league as an overage.

QP has not seen 90% of these guys play more than once last season, solid analysis.
- Pea-Brain

The only guys I have not seen in my top25 are Lernout and Hawkey. I've seen the guys from the 'Q at least 10 times(live and TV combined). Saw play at least 10 times every player in Hamilton. I've watched the rest of the prospects around 5 times each, give or take.

I'm happy with the 'Q invites.

Ranger is a warrior and was probably the best player for Baie-Comeau against VDO in the final. Good motor and decent skills.

Like how you've seen enough of a USHL goalie who was drafted less than a week ago to rank him.
