Which is why I'm OK with the Gorges trade.
So if Bergevin doesn't spend to the capspace, is it OK considering Montreal is the 3rd largest market? If there's the money, why not spend it?
I'm OK with not over paying someone just to make it to the ceiling *caugh*Toronto*caugh*
But are they leaving something on the table? - l3ig_l2ecl
MEh.. not our money.
Leaves room for MB to be creative if called upon. |

I think Bergevin knows that more players will become available between July and September and you do not have to spend all your capspace on July 1st |

What's up with all the man-love for Georges. He was an ok D with zero offensive skill. He was making far too much money for what he brings so he had to be moved. - Fredobbface

Good to have the cap space considering there are other teams with cap trouble now and will likely have to get rid of players we may have interest in over the summer. |

Those 3. PK, Markov and Gilbert.
Who's playing D?
I think by Christmas the Habs will be looking for a stay-at-home D that is a heart and soul, do anything to win kind of player.
Was he overpaid? Maybe a bit. Are the Habs better without him?..........Remains to be seen. - stormey
Whos playing D ?? : Emelin ( finally on his natural side) tinordi and weaver... Not a first class defence, But not terrible either ! |
