Wilson described McGinn well by saying he's an honest player. He'll score some goals going to the net, he's good offensively in that way. He won't drive possession of the puck but he can forecheck hard and can help a line score by playing a good net front game.

My long term projections were that best case he turned into a Travis Moen type of player, and worst case he would remain an occasional AHL call-up who could help a bit offensively when needed.

He plays like his big brother Jamie.

Right.. Only thing Scott will be good for is giving the other team lots of PP time. Rest of division loves this signing.

Not to mention the fact that to win the cup you need to roll 4 lines, Sharks have 2.5 when you consider the goon patrol..

i would love nothing else than to see john scott occupying a roster spot come playoff time. well, that and jumbo and/or marleau's "leadership" steering the team once again.

I'm excited that somebody might actually give this kid a chance now, he always had the right attitude about everything. He won't light up the highlight reel, but those dirty but good goals and anything in the paint is where he'll make his mark, and he certainly went to those dirty areas without fear. He drops the gloves (albeit a so-so fighter) and will always stick up for his teammates. Fair trade as of now, my hunch will be he pots 10-15 if given a regular spot in the lineup. I wish him the best of luck, just one of those situations where he wasn't and hasn't been given that consistent chance here.

I also hope he will soon regain his original form. https://watermelongame.io
